One
Of The Oldest Street Markets
The historical Romford Market, for which a charter
was granted by King Henry III, began nearly 800 years ago
in 1247. Originally established as a sheep market, it is
still operating three days a week offering customers from
near and far the perfect place to spend the day and pick up
great priced items.
Romford market is one of the largest street
markets in the South East with over 150 regular stalls
offering a diverse range of goods including fresh meat and
fish, veg and fruit, the latest fashions, mobile phone
accessories and household goods to name just a
few!
The market has a great choice of tea and hot food
stalls catering for all tastes, most providing seating areas
for a much needed cup of tea and a perfect place to rest your weary
feet!
As well as the market stalls, you will also find
shopping arcades and malls, cafes, bakeries, pubs and
restaurants along side the shops running the whole length
of the Market, including the recently revamped Romford
Shopping Hall with over 40 high quality retail
units and the popular Liberty Shopping Centre with over 100
well known shops.
