for St. George's Day on the market, we are now looking forward to celebrating The Queen's Diamond Jubilee which will be the theme for the market
on the 2nd of June 2012.
There's lots of entertainment planned for the whole day so be sure to come
along and join the traders in enjoying a fun packed day! The market will be awash with colour from the red, white and blue flags decorating the stalls. The Town Crier will be hard to miss as he walks through the market and there will be performances celebrating The Jubilee from The Hornchurch Drum and Trumpet Band. We have a number of circus performers, stilt walkers, balloon modelling, magicians, jugglers, unicyclists and a childrens ride. Face painting will be free for children.
You can also see the giant 22 m x 11 m, Union Jack flag on the Tollgate House building.

One Of The Oldest Street Markets
The historical Romford Market, for which a charter was granted by King Henry III, began nearly 800 years ago in 1247. Originally established as a sheep market, it is still operating three days a week offering customers from near and far the perfect place to spend the day and pick up great priced items.
Romford market is one of the largest street markets in the South East with over 150 regular stalls offering a diverse range of goods including fresh meat and fish, veg and fruit, the latest fashions, mobile phone accessories and household goods to name just a few!
The market has a great choice of burger vans catering for all tastes, most provide seating areas for a much needed cup of tea and a place to rest your weary feet!
Romford Market Opening TimesRomford Market,takes place every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday between 8.30am - 4.30pm (5pm on Saturdays) regardless of the weather!
Entertainment on Romford MarketHavering Council regularly provide entertainment at the Tollgate House Clock Tower end of the Market, ranging from fair ground attractions and jugglers to street football and opera singers!

The most popular being The Liberty Shopping Centre Car Park and the Market Place Car Park behind the Travel Lodge Hotel in Market Link Bus services run from Barkingside, Barking Canning Town, Cranham, Dagenham, Ilford, Leytonstone, Rainham and Stratford.
